Privacy: what we count
ChronoCards keeps a few anonymous counts so we can see what works and what does not.
What we count
- A random visitor number your browser makes up and keeps in its own storage. It is not linked to your name, your email or an account.
- The kind of device (phone, tablet or computer), the browser's name (for example Chrome or Safari) and the screen size, rounded.
- Which site sent you here (its name only), and any campaign tag in the link you followed.
- What you do here: pages opened, time spent, buttons such as Play Now and How to Play, the setup steps, and how your games go: right and wrong placements by card type, challenges, passes, give-ups, scores and Poker moves. Bots' moves are not counted.
- Problems: page errors, failed requests, and how long the museum took to load.
What we never collect
- No cookies for counting, no tracking across other sites, and no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
- No IP address and no full browser fingerprint.
- No names: the name you type at setup stays in your game and is not part of these counts.
How long we keep it
Individual records are kept for 12 months. After that they are folded into monthly totals, and the records themselves are deleted.
Opting out
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted. You can also clear this site's storage in your browser at any time; that removes the visitor number.
